Howdy Mountain Lion Families!

Happy Labor Day weekend! I know my family is looking forward to an extra day of R&R after such a fun and busy first couple of weeks of school.

Thank you to all of you who joined us at our 1st PTA meeting and Volunteer Fair this week. We had a great turn out and were excited to share opportunities for you to become more involved with the Mills PTA and school this year. If you were not able to join us and are still wanting to get involved, it’s not too late! Please check out our PTA Welcome Packet or stop by the PTA table at Back to School Night this Tuesday evening.

If you haven’t yet joined the Joe Dan Mills Jr PTA, please do and help your kiddos class earn a popsicle party! Each class that has at least 50% of students have a grown up join the PTA will earn a popsicle party. We currently have 276 members! We still have a ways to go to meet our goal of 450 members for the year. Please help us get there!

We're looking for awesome parents to be Room Parents for the upcoming school year!

This is a fantastic way to connect with other families, support our incredible teachers, and help make class parties and special events a blast for our students. It’s a rewarding role that makes a huge impact!

Please email your classroom teacher to express interest! Once all Room Parents have been assigned, our Room Parent Coordinator- Ashley Engle will email you information, templates, and spreadsheets to have a successful school year!

Attention 5th Grade Mountain Lion Families

The Yearbook Committee is collecting input for the Yearbook Theme, Baby & Sibling photos and other 5th Grade specific requests to include in your Mountain Lion's final yearbook.

Submit your form and don't forget to pre order your yearbook and dedications today before prices increase.
